Mixing + mastering (bundle)

I am also open to discussing friendlier bundle rates for either mastering or mixing album projects if the base per unit track fee is not financially viable. Again, this is a case by case situation considering client’s financial context and my time constraints.

Booking, Payment & Terms

For new clients and all mixing projects, full advance payment of the agreed fee is required. An invoice will be issued prior to the session start date.

Scheduling is confirmed once a full upfront payment has been received. This secures studio time and places your project in the calendar.

Once work has begun, payments are non-refundable.

Returning clients receive a 10% discount on album-length mastering projects. Payment within two days of invoicing is appreciated unless otherwise discussed.

Payments can be made via bank transfer, Wise, or PayPal. Wise is recommended for international transfers due to its speed and lower transaction costs. If paying via PayPal, invoices will include applicable transaction fees. Please ensure that the full billed amount arrives in my account, with any transfer fees covered on your end.

Workflow & Communication

During the mastering process, communication is handled directly via email or phone unless otherwise agreed on.

Please ensure you have time available to review the files sent for approval. Prompt feedback allows projects to move efficiently through the schedule. A response within 24 hours is ideal.

If additional time is needed to evaluate a master, please let me know in advance. In such cases, the project may be paused and rescheduled. Work completed up to that point will be invoiced accordingly.

Turnaround for album-length approval files is typically around two working days once the session has started. Please allow small flexibility period around ideal deadline. Final delivery timing depends on the speed and clarity of communication.

Final Approval & Responsibility

Before sending your master to a pressing plant or uploading to digital platforms, please carefully review the approved final files.

All masters are thoroughly checked before delivery and are assumed correct at the time of approval. However, final responsibility lies with the client once files have been signed off.

Please do not alter the delivered masters — including fades, edits, level adjustments, automation, or sample rate conversion. If any changes are required, I’m happy to handle them, even after approval. I cannot take responsibility for masters that have been modified by another studio or processed further in a different DAW.

Sliding Scale & Packages

My standard mastering rate is $120 CAD per track for self-funded projects and $150 CAD for labels or funded work.

Again, I work on a sliding scale because I know firsthand what it’s like to self-finance creative projects and stretch limited budgets to make things happen. Artists covering everything out of pocket generally fall toward the lower end, while projects with grants, institutional backing, or label support land higher on the scale. Package deals are available for EPs and albums, and I’m flexible within reason depending on context and scope. The goal is to keep things sustainable on both sides.
